After a month, I tried this and up it popped

But during that month, I wasn't able to access this blog at all. Communication between we three is so important that we have decided to find other ways of keeping in touch.  So this blog is closed as of today.  Thank you for following.

Time to breathe

My busy “people” time is over. Tim was out for a week, moving his mom to Edmonton. It was a busy week, trying to get her all packed up, trying to visit with his friends and trying to do something to help me. In the end we got the house empty and her stuff (way too much stuff!) packed in a 20 foot U-Haul. He also loaded her car on a trailer and towed it behind the van. They left here at 5:40 am last Saturday and made it to Edmonton in 12 1/2 hours, including pee breaks, lunch break and hitting a deer!  I was pretty sore Friday after emptying her house, and totally useless on Saturday.  I got up at 4:30 to get them on the road. This week has been garden work (primarily tomatoes…… way too many tomatoes).  I only have 1/2 row of carrots and tomatoes😤 left in the garden. I was getting carrots sliced for the freezer only I forgot to switch my food processor from “grate” to “slice”. I now have 4 cups of grated carrots in the freezer😜.  The quad was sold yesterday. ...

Winter Jacket...or shorts?

Good Wednesday morning to you both, Mid week and hard pressed to understand weather. Frost warning for two nights and then sunny and now temps increase with "feels like" temps close to 33. And from wearing my hat and winter jacket to take dogs for a walk, to blouse and shorts outside yesterday. We picked all the tomatoes off the vines when frost was imminent, and yesterday started to pull up all the plants in attempt to start the usual Fall cleanup. The neighbour who generously gave us bags and bags of lettuce during the peak of Summer, came by last evening with a big box of spinach. I have it all in the fridge now but will process today. A good feed of spinach is in the works for a meal today by looks of it. Thank goodness I love that. But need to dehydrate more Kale first....🤔 Waiting patiently for my ordered books to come into the library. I have my name on list for the new The Grey Wolf   in the Gamache series but I am sure that will be a long time off yet and I a...

most of the panicky time is over.

But that doesn't mean we get to relax much.  Now that we know more about how we'll be living, we have time to look at smaller issues.  Our home phones are not working well.  One of 4 rings, the others don't.  Our ultra casual clothes aren't up to snuff for evening dining.  We really  need a second tv.  We brought far too many kitchen items with us.  The toaster oven and cooking utensils are gone.  My use of the second bathroom shower stall just isn't working and we've bought me a bath bench and shower curtain so I can try to use the main bath. We ran errands yesterday, and ended up exhausted-really exhausted.  I had Shaw coming this morning  "between 8-10", so I set the alarm a little earlier, got up and went down to get a "take out" breakfast for both of us.  We got the laundry going, and David started working on setting up the new phone system.  About 9:00 the  phone rings and a minute of panic, I realized th...

September has come...

And it is a lovely sunny, but cool day here. The nights are getting colder and one wants an extra blanket in the middle of the night but too tired to get up and get one haha!  Enjoyed the tour Pati, and it appears that the new home is perfectly perfect for you and Dave and from comments you have made it also appears that you are very happy and content so far. And so this makes me feel perfectly happy as well 🥰 Have spent the morning in the kitchen processing Kale and frying some of our small yellow zucchini. If time allows hope to go outside and putter. What do I enjoy more than to "putter" 🤪 or, perhaps sit and sip on a hot cup of tea. 🫖 Hope the week goes well for you both - very different lives we live all we three, but the common is our S isters attachments and supports. So take care and lots of Love 💞💖
