Time to breathe
My busy “people” time is over. Tim was out for a week, moving his mom to Edmonton. It was a busy week, trying to get her all packed up, trying to visit with his friends and trying to do something to help me. In the end we got the house empty and her stuff (way too much stuff!) packed in a 20 foot U-Haul. He also loaded her car on a trailer and towed it behind the van. They left here at 5:40 am last Saturday and made it to Edmonton in 12 1/2 hours, including pee breaks, lunch break and hitting a deer! I was pretty sore Friday after emptying her house, and totally useless on Saturday. I got up at 4:30 to get them on the road. This week has been garden work (primarily tomatoes…… way too many tomatoes). I only have 1/2 row of carrots and tomatoes😤 left in the garden. I was getting carrots sliced for the freezer only I forgot to switch my food processor from “grate” to “slice”. I now have 4 cups of grated carrots in the freezer😜. The quad was sold yesterday. The neighbours advertised it and handled the negotiations and sale. All I had to do was sign the bill of sale and pocket the money. I was quite nervous having that much cash in the house last night and was in town as soon as the bank opened this morning. Makes my checking account look pretty nice until I have to pay bills again. I’m going to go to meat draw tonight and tomorrow I will do tomatoes again, starting with tomato “junk”. (Tomatoes , onions, celery, garlic, peppers and spice all stewed up together) I bought more freezer bags today in anticipation (sigh). Love you♥️
