Winter Jacket...or shorts?

 Good Wednesday morning to you both,

Mid week and hard pressed to understand weather. Frost warning for two nights and then sunny and now temps increase with "feels like" temps close to 33. And from wearing my hat and winter jacket to take dogs for a walk, to blouse and shorts outside yesterday. We picked all the tomatoes off the vines when frost was imminent, and yesterday started to pull up all the plants in attempt to start the usual Fall cleanup.

The neighbour who generously gave us bags and bags of lettuce during the peak of Summer, came by last evening with a big box of spinach. I have it all in the fridge now but will process today. A good feed of spinach is in the works for a meal today by looks of it. Thank goodness I love that. But need to dehydrate more Kale first....🤔

Waiting patiently for my ordered books to come into the library. I have my name on list for the new The Grey Wolf  in the Gamache series but I am sure that will be a long time off yet and I am also sure both of you will get to read it before me.

So on with the day. Always love the quiet of the early morning but it is garbage day and I have to have that out on the street by 8 am and then the dogs get their long walk to the Park in South River before the actual "work for the day " begins. Lots of fun.

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

Yes. It is Sunday again

  Time keeps passing. Faster and faster every day. We had freezing rain last night and this morning but it seems to have stopped for now, but that damp chill goes right through me!  Lucky and Ally are both sleeping so is almost like having time to myself. I did walk Lucky this morning but we stayed off the road. We went around the trail cause it wasn’t icy. Less dangerous for both of us. I snuggled down this weekend but I will have to venture out tomorrow.  Hopefully the roads will be clear. They don’t look bad right now so it is promising. I get my flu shot on Wednesday and Ally has a vet appointment on Friday. And I’m going to call for a lawyer appointment tomorrow.  Chloe is going to have her “old people” birthday party on the 18th. Kik and I will go together. And I told Kik I would go to Winnipeg with her on the 14th. I hate the time change.
