An adventure

Oh Cathy!  I can just hear and see you marching across that hill singing "I am woman. Hear me roar!'' Doesn't it feel wonderful when you accomplish something like that?

Yesterday we went grocery shopping at Walmart!  This is something I've avoided for years, mainly as a comment on Big Business replacing small business (local grocery stores).  But then I do most of my shopping at Sobeys. 😏 Go figure!  Still, it was an experience.  I found that, while they do have a small representation of big name brands, most of their brands are smaller, less well known brands.  One way of being able to offer lower prices I guess .  We were in Walmart to buy otc drugs and supplements.  We use a lot of them and we appear to have run out of everything at the same time.  Some of them are expensive and the bottom line was a bit of a jolt.😝

After my  4 day weekend of studio time, we're back to running around doing errands.  The above shopping trip gave us two large packages of ground beef that now need to be turned into burger patties and meat loaf for the freezer. I've been slowly using what we have on hand in an effort to empty the freezer, but the need for burger patties trumps everything, especially when David is still getting used to his new teeth.

Tomorrow is my appointment with the Ophthalmologist.  I'm very apprehensive, but at the same time hopeful that he'll be able to offer some sort of treatment. I'm already experiencing some difficulty reading.  Instead of the words and letters going in straight lines, at times they go up and down like a roller coaster and one can't figure out what word belongs on what line especially in books with small print. I get large print books whenever I can, and have been doing so for awhile but not everything comes that way.

Amber has just phoned wanting to get together over coffee this afternoon.  Evidently we had tentatively agreed to do that when we got together last week.  Stay safe ladies and continue to feel wonderful about what we can accomplish, even at our age.  💖💖
