Besides the freezing temperatures....
....what else is new? Much time spent yesterday putting away all the plants that we had previously pulled out of the greenhouses back into the greenhouses, and when room ran out in there, covering all those left outside with blankets and sheets. Tonight the heaters will also be put on as temp going down to minus 2 C. Thought it would be easy going after this but according to the forecast Sunday night is also going down to 0. Nice ....eh?
Physio appt this morning and we completely reviewed the exercises to date and he added some in attempt to continue to challenge the muscles to improve. I felt I was in a bit of a plateau so asked it we could kick start something new. He continues to tell me I am actually improving but that it will be slow. Yes, I agree, it is slow.
And this afternoon we headed over to the Arena for our next Covid 19 Booster - Pfizer again this time and now a total of seven vaccinations so far. I tested myself last week with the rapid test kit and it was negative so I am not too worried right now. I still wear my mask when out and about, while many others do not.
Today I watched a clip from The Quilt Show Blog about rejuvenating a 1894 Singer Sewing machine found in an old barn and in total disrepair. I found this fascinating how they took it apart piece by piece, cleaned it all, restored it to it's original look and then put it back together and sewed a pillow case to prove its worthiness. Cathy I think it would be a really interesting item for you to watch... free. Go to The Quilt Show and follow prompts to the Blog (dated May 17) , and once in there, scroll down to this article on the old Singer machine redo.
Now I must sign off to do the dishes, and do the animal cages, and check the greenhouses, and turn the heaters on, and check that the outdoors plants are still covered up, and wash myself, and then get to bed to read more of the Kelly Armstrong book I mentioned before.......not much really haha!
Take care both of you... have a sip and a toast to us all. Toast to us all!
