Now to catch my breath

Our phone call was amazing.  These wonderful advances in communication technology reduced to a piece of paper and a pen for functional communication.  Not to worry.  I have lots of paper sitting beside the computer for our next call.

It's Sunday morning and I'm still not sure what happened Friday, but I sure don't want to spend the time at the computer trying to find out.  Amber and I spent over an hour Friday afternoon trying to set up a joint account at the credit union.  By that time I knew I was unlikely to get home in time for Gail's phone call, so went to Starbucks across the parking lot, and called her from there.  At least I now know how to make a phone call on on that damn cell phone.

Friday morning the drain for the washing machine clogged up ( I don't think I mentioned that during our phone call).  We managed to find someone to clean it out but they were booked until Tuesday.  David had managed to get the sheets and underwear done before the problem, but nothing else.  We know the washing machine is on it's last legs but really want to keep it going until we move.  We have left several messages at Concordia place, but no response.

Now its Sunday and nothing planned for the whole day.  Time to relax and rest.  But wait.  Getting breakfast and catching a glimpse inside the microwave.  Take a good look around and realize I'll be spending a good part of the day in the kitchen. But maybe I'll be able to relax a little later when I can look back on a clean kitchen.

Best get to it.  Cathy, it's your turn to blog about Gail's silverware.  It's your story.  Love you both.
