Another rainy drizzly day...

 Happy to read about your days. Here I sit with a plate of perogies I just cooked for my lunch, with CBC Play List singing in the background Motown In Love on the computer playing delightful arrangements 🎶 and sitting beside me are all the parts for a DIY 3 shelf Technics Audio Rack. This was brought home in an unopened box from the dump store yesterday. Now lets see just how talented I might be to actually get it together with no extra screws or metal dowels laying around 🤔All that seems to be missing is my drink (it must be 5 pm somewhere), and of course, your company ...haha!

I finished the Steve Berry book The Atlas Maneuver and returned it to the Library this morning. Now to get settled in and start into the next one of the two books in the Lane Winslow series which I had to order but both of which have arrived together. That's OK as I have until May 24 to get through these..no problem.

We were to go to Huntsville this morning to shop but that changed to maybe tomorrow - see how things go. And since the outside work is undesirable in the drizzle, here I am. I will also bake some muffins shortly. I took some bananas out of the freezer and just waiting for them to thaw a bit.

Well...I dawdle. Back to the construction work. Take care my sisters... so much going on in our lives it is hard to catch up. Pati you are so very organized and hope your efforts will prove you to be so right in being so. Keep us informed of developments. Cathy, will think of you baking for the Rotary Dinner and then Celebration of Life for Brent. And of course your MRI .  Love ...Be 😘💕

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

  We both made it through the day without faltering, very much looking forward to a good nap once things were over.  But then were so high couldn't sleep.  Both Loren and Amber were there to help us, with Amber stopping at Tim's for breakfast on her way.   I was up and immediately dressed at 7:00 (Omg!  It even hurts to be able to say that)  Then off in the car to set up 5 signs.  Of course, each stop one has to find a place to park, get out of the car, place the sign, and reverse the process.  That finished, I parked in the mall across the way, pulled my walker out of the car, and trudged off home.  I was so glad to have the walker during the day, mainly because the float was hidden in the small zipper compartment in the walker and I sat on it most of the day.  We moved the patio table and umbrella to the front yard.  Amber and I spent most of the day there, while Loren and Dave spent their time in the garage, until later in t...

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

Yes. It is Sunday again

  Time keeps passing. Faster and faster every day. We had freezing rain last night and this morning but it seems to have stopped for now, but that damp chill goes right through me!  Lucky and Ally are both sleeping so is almost like having time to myself. I did walk Lucky this morning but we stayed off the road. We went around the trail cause it wasn’t icy. Less dangerous for both of us. I snuggled down this weekend but I will have to venture out tomorrow.  Hopefully the roads will be clear. They don’t look bad right now so it is promising. I get my flu shot on Wednesday and Ally has a vet appointment on Friday. And I’m going to call for a lawyer appointment tomorrow.  Chloe is going to have her “old people” birthday party on the 18th. Kik and I will go together. And I told Kik I would go to Winnipeg with her on the 14th. I hate the time change.
