Family visit
The family is being very supportive these days. Unfortunately, I had a fall yesterday, in the laundry room. Even with David's help, I couldn't get up, but he was reluctant to have the fire department and Paramedics visit, so the on-line rescue lady phoned the children. Loren, of course, was in Hamilton, but Amber and Samantha drove into the city-in rush hour. The two of them, with a lot of effort, were able to get me up. Then we sat in the kitchen for about an hour and all three of us talked, although there were still phones in hand. Samantha attends the school where my Wednesday group volunteer, and Samantha knows at least one of them, so we laughed with both of us trying to describe her.
What comes to mind if I describe some one as "big blond"? Samantha knew exactly what I meant but both of us had difficulty trying to explain it to Amber. It was so good talking. Amber was talking about being the Mother of two teenagers, while Samantha was interested in my responses to some of the issues her Mother complained about. Generation by generation, some family interactions get passed along, both the good and the bad.
Today I'm a bit stiff and sore, and David has ended up finishing the laundry. Now he's trying to get the hand vacuum working so we can clean up the oven I had run through the clean cycle. It was dirty enough to leave ashes. But I think that David is going to give it a start, So best I make this short, and give him a hand.
In the studio, I've started re-pricing everything that's going to the craft sale next Saturday. Too bad that the Avery labels I had were sent to the thrift store last Spring. So now I'm really glad I started early with that task.
On to oven cleaning. Be safe ladies, you're family too and just a treasured and loved as my children and grand children.
Well, now...I will venture to state that "be safe" must now be our Sisters mantra. Let us all think about safety as it applies to our everyday routines and activities around the home and thereabouts. Thinking of you both and, by the way... families are so special so...please "be safe" XX
