What am I thinking?

😁 Hi, 

I am just in from being out in the cold and "mixed precipitation" trying to decorate at the front in preparation for tomorrow evenings Hallowe'en frenzy. I am freezing with the temp at 34 F right now and cannot wear gloves and also try to decorate, so my hands are cold and overall I am feeling rather "stupid" to be out there at all. So decision made.....leave it all for now, and go in and make a coffee and put a batch of cookies in the oven and sit and write in the blog and fill my mouth with deliciousness. I am going to have to mix up some more rolls of refridgerator cookies at this rate. They are too handy all ready to go in the freezer and too easy to bake up on an impulse. Tomorrow promises the same weather so hopefully few little goblins will be coming. And...that means that I get the leftovers to myself. That is why we buy Kit Kats and Coffee Crisp  and Ereo little bars and put them in a little bags to hand out hoping that there will be leftovers. 

I am investigating the option of purchasing a web cam and installing it on this new Windows 11 computer. The laptop with Windows 10 does have a camera built in . This screen we have on the desktop is an older one we have used for years, and has no built in camera ( that i can see) and i googled how to set up a camera and it seems straight forward ( she says knowing right well that anything related to computers is not always straight forward related to her experience haha). I am always trying to think of ways we could communicate differently. Such as Skype ( I know we tried that but I believe it was my error that caused us trouble) or Face Time or Zoom or whatever else is available of which I am not aware. 

I go Thursday for my Dental Appt. For the last few weeks I have been "cramming" with doing dental care to ensure I will not be yelled at by the Dentist this time around. And thanks to you again Pati, I am now using the fluoride toothpaste called PreviDent, and shwishing with newly bought bottle of mouthwash each time and also faithfully using the OralB Glide picky things. Since I have bought them and use them, I am noticing that while out and about i see these things on the ground here and there and have to wonder ...do people really walk about flossing their teeth and then discarding the picky thing on the ground? Is this not gross or am I just a little too prudish?😶

And another thing.. I cannot stand my hair. I had the perm on Aug 4 so it is almost three months but I am now going to make an appt for next week to cut it all off short again. I can manage short hair, and realize after trying to grow my hair long once again that I cannot manage long hair. Wish me luck.

Time to go and get another cookie.... please take care of yourselves both of you... 💩👽☠️👻💀

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

Yes. It is Sunday again

  Time keeps passing. Faster and faster every day. We had freezing rain last night and this morning but it seems to have stopped for now, but that damp chill goes right through me!  Lucky and Ally are both sleeping so is almost like having time to myself. I did walk Lucky this morning but we stayed off the road. We went around the trail cause it wasn’t icy. Less dangerous for both of us. I snuggled down this weekend but I will have to venture out tomorrow.  Hopefully the roads will be clear. They don’t look bad right now so it is promising. I get my flu shot on Wednesday and Ally has a vet appointment on Friday. And I’m going to call for a lawyer appointment tomorrow.  Chloe is going to have her “old people” birthday party on the 18th. Kik and I will go together. And I told Kik I would go to Winnipeg with her on the 14th. I hate the time change.
