So enjoying all the newsy posts
It is a nice treat to log on and see more posts from you both. And also on your Studio posts as well Pati.
Yesterday we headed out early to head to the Callander Cranberry Marsh just south of North Bay. Beautiful day for a march and off we went following the trail in. Takes 55 minutes to walk to the Lookout Tower and into the most used entrance to the actual Marsh. You can follow the trail a bit further to reach Lake Nipissing but we just went to the marsh area. Many others out for the walk as it is a very popular area. People and dogs and strollers and small ones so lots of "Hellos" and "Nice day" conversations back and forth along the way. It took Harry two seconds going into the Marsh to exclaim "NO" we are not going further. Soggy and wet, and muddy and well used terrain. Apparently on Saturday (unbeknownst to us) they had a "Cranberry Day" there so I imagine it was a very busy place, and trampled down nicely and slushy, wet areas where one should have hip boots on. So quick turn around and another 55 minute walk back out empty handed. A good workout if you like walking haha! But now we will have to go to the store or maybe Market to buy cranberries 😕
Today may be my last good day before the rains come to do more in the yard so I plan to head out there and get busy. I cannot say my heart is in it, but i think of Winter coming and I know I have to be prepared for the snow and shoveling so know I have to more stuff to make nice clear paths and clean flower gardens to push back the snows. Ugghh ...the thought of it all.
So go out and vote today for a new Manitoba Premier (according to polls that is). I have been following the election news on the WFP so I will be following the results closely as well.
Enjoy the wonderful Fall weather. I wish I could send pictures of the gorgeous colourful trees and landscape right now, but a picture would not do it justice.
