Let it snow.....let it snow.....let it snow!

 Good afternoon on Sunday,

Just a quickie message as we return from shopping in Huntsville for some groceries but also a new printer which I shall soon take from the box and program into the Laptop hoping that Harry will then be able to set up shop once again after hesitating to try the new desktop. He is familiar with the Laptop so should be able to make the transition.

But....it is snowing nicely here right now. The ground is becoming a bit covered with white as the temp is about zero and so the snow falling is starting to stick around. Will not last long though, so no need to get out the snow shovels ...yet!  And as well, it is a bit of a surprise for Thanksgiving Day. 😒

Enjoy every little thing you are both doing today and tomorrow. And be thankful you can.. XX

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

  We both made it through the day without faltering, very much looking forward to a good nap once things were over.  But then were so high couldn't sleep.  Both Loren and Amber were there to help us, with Amber stopping at Tim's for breakfast on her way.   I was up and immediately dressed at 7:00 (Omg!  It even hurts to be able to say that)  Then off in the car to set up 5 signs.  Of course, each stop one has to find a place to park, get out of the car, place the sign, and reverse the process.  That finished, I parked in the mall across the way, pulled my walker out of the car, and trudged off home.  I was so glad to have the walker during the day, mainly because the float was hidden in the small zipper compartment in the walker and I sat on it most of the day.  We moved the patio table and umbrella to the front yard.  Amber and I spent most of the day there, while Loren and Dave spent their time in the garage, until later in t...

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

OMG! It's been almost a week since I posted!

  The priority over the weekend was concern about David's driver's license.  He got the letter on Friday telling him that his license was being revoked, and he was to surrender the actual license by today at the latest.  The letter also included some good information on options including a special assessment process called "DriveABLE.  David had to wait until yesterday to call them, but wasn't able to get an appointment for the re-assessment until May 3rd.  So, while we were out yesterday, he went in and "did the deed".  Sort of a sad time around here, but at least there is hope. This all meant a quiet week end, spent mainly at home, but this also meant a bit more studio time than usual.  A significant number of the pieces for the new EPP piece have been cut and put in Zip-loc bags for future basting and sewing together.  This will be my work for the group in Lorette for the foreseeable future.  Today was also the day for my monthly Zoom meet...
