Strange times

Over the past couple of weeks we have been drifting along, sleeping very late in the mornings, doing various things in the afternoons without any clear plan of action, and then watching tv or playing on our computers in the evening.  By tomorrow, my fussing about health issues that has involved special diets ( note the plural) for a few days at a time, should be done.  Then I have to wait for all of the test results, and there will be no way of hurrying those results, I just have to wait.  But we still need to be preparing to move, so I think I'm ready for another grand purge.

Also within the past few days, I received notice of a large "De-stash Sale" being organized by The Manitoba Craft Museum and Library, and the Manitoba Craft Council, both organizations that I've sponsored in some way over the years.  My plan is to fully support this event with as many appropriate items as possible.  Within the information about the sale I found reference to most un-sold items being donated to Art Junction.  I hadn't realized that that organization was still operating.  I'm thinking of donating all of my un-used hand dyed cotton there, as I doubt it will be welcome in the sale.

Over coffee yesterday I mentioned all of this to Gail, but assured her that she will still get first refusal on my overall stash, provided she acts quickly.  She and our friend Laurie were doing just that when I had my first bad fall last January, if you remember.

Time to start making lists, or rather, writing down the lists I have in my head.  And first item is to seek out cardboard boxes.

So, busy days ahead at the Findlay household.  Meanwhile, may we all stay safe.  Winter will soon be in the air, and we will all stay warm and safe in our homes.
