A new week with very few plans--Play Time!
It seems strange to see so many days in a row without a full calendar, but I'm sure I can fill it up. Last weekend had no commitments either and we filled it with frequent naps and exercises from the physio. Yes, I have been doing them and can already see small improvements in my movements and less dizziness generally (both maybe as a result of medication changes as well as exercise). In any case I'm feeling better and this has meant a flurry of new plans and idea changes in the studio, even if I haven't spent much time there lately.
It's also been a mixed blessing in terms of the feeling of, and smell of, fall in the air. My daily walk is accompanied by sounds of dry leaves being crushed by both my feet and the wheels of my walker. Then yesterday I put on my heavy sweatshirt (the one I love and can only wear for a few weeks in the spring and fall) before heading out. Then a few houses down the street there were two young things in bare midriffs and short pants playing volley ball in the street. Winnipeg really is a little schizophrenic when it comes to our weather. Still, with my sweatshirt on, I can still read even with quickly cooling coffee while sitting on the patio. Bonus!
There also seems to be more creative energy these days. My Wednesday group have suggested that I make some pot holders for the up-coming craft sale. I tried, and ran into trouble with the techniques I chose, remembered from my pot holder making days almost 30 years ago. So I have to some up with a different method. Unfortunately, I've used up most of my scraps and now have to create more. (insert giggle here 😈) So, between hand sewing, typing, using a walker, and cutting fabric my wrists are taking a beating. This means planned time outs, when I read. No time for housework!
So ladies, reading between the lines, I'm feeling much better in terms of life, love and the cost of fabric. (snark) Please stay safe and feel the love coming your way.
