Rainy Day people...
...stay inside and do cleanup. Actually over last few days I have been having some fun in the dining room and front room starting to sift through stuff and generally trying to tidy. Little chunks at a time is my MO. If ones looks at a job with a broad lens - it seems impossible but to break it up into small workable tasks...it seems less impossible haha! I just finished dusting (washing) off the Grandfather clock of our fathers making. For so long i have had it stopped just because it was not easy to access regularly to pull up the chains but hopefully now i will be able to get it working again. Do either of you wish to have your clocks working again ...my question mark keeps coming up with the French etude (É) How do I get rid of that..any ideas É
Sunflower Festival today downtown today. The whole Main Street closed and over 100 vendors set up ...and yet it pours rain, continuously, and it booms with thunder off and on and our lights flicker off and on. What a shame for the organizers and for the vendors.Usually it is a bright sunny and festive day with lots of people and events and food and music and in the evening a street dance. Harry went down this morning but i choose to stay home. He brought home for me some butter tarts and some rhubarb crisp from a lady we know well who bakes.....so I am not afraid to eat her products. And I have had a nice treat tasting some of it already.
I was just outside here to do a walk about the yard and check the downspouts and ensure the water is flowing away from the house well. I guess we will not have to do any watering of the plants tonight.
Thinking of you both and hope your day is going well. Take care and sending our chosen heart felt message - be safe. ❤
