Purging

Hello to you both early Monday morning

Getting mixed up with days and weeks seems the norm mostly. If I did not have my calendar posted on the fridge door to mark off each day as it comes, perhaps I would be completely lost. And one day just melds into the next and so on. Ain't life grand haha!

Appreciated the comments on the purging of late. It will take for ages for me but the fact that I have started is a bonus. I may not have total consensus at this house, but nevertheless, it is my effort that counts mostly for me. Damn the torpedoes and full steam ahead ..maybe not so dramatic, but still it could describes the journey well.

The yard takes up lots of time and effort. I need to prepare for Winter and not face another like last year with the rain and freezing off and on that produced lots of runoff and need to bolster my defenses. I have moved stuff piled up along the side of the house to leave it open to shovel the snow and keep clear so that the water in Spring will not run along the foundation as it tried to do last Spring.

The Fall cleanup is approaching..too quickly from my perspective.. and that is also paramount to the Winter management. All the pots need to be moved and put somewhere to allow for shoveling. Takes a lot of time and energy which I seem to be losing ..where did it go?

I have lots of apples from the tree that are falling on their own. Harry does his morning patrol and brings them in along with the tomatoes and beans and cucumbers that are ripe. The kitchen can quickly fill up if I do not keep ahead of the game.

I remember Vivian and Dick of course Pati. I so enjoyed being with you on that trip to Pinawa (even if we did have to drive allover looking for an ER for you haha!) I liked being at the Show, and then the social back at their home. Lots of fine memories for me. Those days are gone but not forgotten.  It would be nice if you could keep up a connection with them.

So here is to another week. Of course, our thoughts will be focused on you Cathy. Keep strong and brave.. we love you. ❤
