Missing a day

Getting ready to write this, I realized that I have no memory of Thursday.  I just asked David what we did, and he has no memory either.  Perhaps we were abducted by aliens for rude physical experiments  Well, there's nothing I can do about it.

I do remember talking to Cathy on the phone.  That may have been the highlight of the day.  Getting my days confused is a minor problem compared to confusing my weeks.  I seem to be living one week ahead of myself and have been for most of this month.  Thank Goodness for calendars and my BuJo.

But, I remember yesterday (Isn't that a song title?).  Gail arranged a coffee meeting with Dick and Vivian from Pinawa, then she, herself was almost 45 minutes late.  David was there and held his own.  It was a wonderful visit.  We've all vowed to work at maintaining the contact.  They are well. He has slowed down quite a bit, but she is still trucking along.  Like the energizer bunny according to Dick.  I'm sure you remember them, Beth.

Hearing about your effort to purge, Beth, I can only strongly encourage you to keep going.  Most people who set up a 30 or 100 day challenge set a minimum, but realistic, length of time per day to devote to it.  I set a time of one hour, but often went over that, and I did last the 100 days-- 3-4 times along, in fact.  Keep going. It's worth it, and you'll feel great both while you work on it and after you're done.  Every hour is a victory. Remember that anything you do related to the task counts, even if it is only taking a bag to the box at the end of the road.  I promised myself rewards such as starting a new project, or having a good drink that evening.  Finishing a project counted toward fulfilling my hour of working, so I won either way.  So, to me, setting up these small victories made the whole project more fun.

Our visit with Dick and Vivian interfered with the laundry process, so I have that to finish today.  My shows are not on PBS this evening, but I believe David has a football game, as he did last night, and may have tomorrow.  I may get some studio time, and plan to enjoy every minute of it.

Stay safe and have some fun, ladies.
