Lazy days

Not so busy lately and we've been enjoying a couple of lazy days.  That's going to change though.  In Lorette, one of the ladies has been sharing apples off her tree--lots of apples.  She wasn't there yesterday but her apples were, and the other ladies were discussing how they were using the apples.  They're quite small but very tasty, and most were planning to make and freeze Apple Crisp.  I have 3 plastic grocery bags full, and have used some for Dr.  Phil (It takes two by the time they're cored).  David asked for small individual apple pies.  This would involve buying tin foil pie plates, peeling, coring and slicing a lot of apples, and then my nemesis--making, rolling and cutting to make pastry, although I suppose I could by pot pie shells.  That would probably supply better pasty than any I could make.  So--I asked David if he would accept Apple Crisp, and he agreed.  I still have to buy individual tin foil pans, and brown sugar, but in the long run that would be much easier on me.  It won't be much cheaper in the long run, but David will have a treat, and it won't be big enough to share.

But today is going to be a lazy day.  We both need one, and it's time.  Unfortunately, it's quite cool out, so sitting in the garden and reading is probably not an option.  Tomorrow I have a massage just before noon, and I've booked an hour.  I can feel the tension and stress in my shoulders and neck, despite the relaxation I achieved by not worrying about anything more than a week away.  I've been wanting a massage for awhile and now it's late enough in the year that I have less to worry about in terms of using up all my Blue Cross.  I can do what little shopping there is while I'm out, and then devote Saturday to making apple crisp.  Tomorrow is still laundry day, but if a little of that is left for Saturday, I think I can do both that and the kitchen work.

So, on to a day of doing nothing I don't choose to do.  A new Covid variant.  At this point we all know how to stay safe.
