What The Duck....

Good Wednesday Mid Week kind of day,

There is a program on the CBC Radio that I listen to on occasion named What The Duck. It is about interesting and perhaps even strange stories from around the world. Very appropriate title (perhaps with a slight variation haha) for how things seem to be going here right now especially with the weather and how it is impacting my day to day life as it relates to the garden and plants. It is difficult to predict what the temp will be from one moment to the other and thus the roller coaster ride to protect all the growing plants that are all over the yard and hanging in trees and on shelves and even some still in the greenhouses. Protect them from sudden frost warnings even though one has been following the Weather Network on an hourly basis and thinks they have a handle on the situation...not! Two more nights and maybe, just maybe things will get better.

It brings me to mind of a hot pad that I have hanging on the handle of a kitchen cupboard close to the sink so I can see it all the time.

Here it is to share with you both for some extra incentive to believe and carry on....

So I made a Rhubarb Kuchen this morning just to eat, and I am planning a nice meal of rice and veg and pork loin just to eat, and I just came back from the LCBO with a bottle of wine just to drink. I have not had a goblet of wine since Christmas and I think I have done very well in abstaining...hey, but why?  I shall indulge with my meal when I make it later, and toast to us all.

I have pulled out my Tarot cards and last few nights rereading the book that accompanies my cards for a refresher course of sorts. Makes me want to reread my Kidd series again. But still in all, I find the whole idea the Tarot very interesting even just for the sake of being interesting without going all out with reading into the meanings too deeply. Some idle fun..

Hope all is well with you both in spite of the many tests and Dr visits or Physio visits that we, or our spouses, are having lately.

Take care.. and thinking of you all the time 😃
