Two days later.. and it is a blizzard

No more rain, but a storm of snow, blowing snow and strong winds made for a horrible type of day today. And the winds made it really cold to go out and walk the dogs, or go back and forth to the greenhouses. The greenhouses could not get warm in spite of the heaters turned to the maximum. Harry persisted though, and worked a good portion of the day transplanting in the big greenhouse. The little greenhouse did not even get opened up . As a matter of fact late today I had to cover the top with two more quilts and tape them down and put some pieces of wood over top to keep them in place because of the gales whipping all around. Let us hope it settles down and we wake up to a nice day, and in that same hope mode, let us also wish the hydro will stay on.

I have been cleaning silver ware and wrapping it up in preparation to going to that Buyers Show on Thursday to have it assessed and hopefully get some money for same.  I know I am going overboard but I think the presentation will be important in showing my wares. Otherwise I would be taking old tins and containers full of dust and stained utensils. There is also a wooden chest full of a complete set including knives with what I would call ivory handles but in actual fact probably something fake. I just finished cleaning 8 roll up blue velvet bags - each holding 12 salad forks. These must have originally come from a banquet hall or hotel. I still have two more complete sets to do. Hope all my work will not be in vain, but if so, it will be an interesting experience. I shall always remember Pati when you and Dave went to the Antique Road Show.

I received a call from our Accountant Friday that our taxes are done, so on Monday I hope to drive to Burk's Falls to pick them up. It will be so nice to know that chore is done, and this year earlier than I have ever been. Harry gets back, and I pay. Not fair haha 😡

Time to hit the bed and read, I am really into this book by JJ Jance called Second Watch - a Beaumont detective novel. Likely finish it tonight if I can.

Take care and watch out for those freak snow storms that sneak up on you when you think it is Spring and there is grass all around. Happy day to you both...❤
