Results not up to expectations

 Just got home from the Buyer Show. Apparently I am not knowledgeable about what sells these days...they were not interested in anything save a sterling bracelet and two sterling brooches and the four little sterling oval dishes that in all fetched me $25.00. This is a big company from the south by reading their card.  And the trading cards (although he never really looked at them all) were to new in time for them to be interested. He literally told me to come back in maybe 15 years and they might look at them. He even tested the little dishes that stated sterling on the back to see if they were sterling ( which they were) I guess that was maybe for show?? or to cover his ass??

So home I came with the shiniest sets of "plated" silver after having spent much time cleaning them all. Would anyone like to own 98 silver plated salad forks all nicely packaged in the velvet sheaths?

Well time to get back to purging. The greenhouses did not fair well as it got down to minus 22C . We most likely lost quite a few plants. Harry had a quick look in to confirm this. But I'll deal with that later.

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

Yes. It is Sunday again

  Time keeps passing. Faster and faster every day. We had freezing rain last night and this morning but it seems to have stopped for now, but that damp chill goes right through me!  Lucky and Ally are both sleeping so is almost like having time to myself. I did walk Lucky this morning but we stayed off the road. We went around the trail cause it wasn’t icy. Less dangerous for both of us. I snuggled down this weekend but I will have to venture out tomorrow.  Hopefully the roads will be clear. They don’t look bad right now so it is promising. I get my flu shot on Wednesday and Ally has a vet appointment on Friday. And I’m going to call for a lawyer appointment tomorrow.  Chloe is going to have her “old people” birthday party on the 18th. Kik and I will go together. And I told Kik I would go to Winnipeg with her on the 14th. I hate the time change.
