Quiet blog

The blog has been quiet for a while. I have nothing to say, but I thought I’d keep the flow going.  I won absolutely nothing at meat draw, but I did stay for supper. The first meat draw supper I’ve been to in over two years!  And it was really good. Roast pork with a mushroom gravy. I went grocery shopping today and spent over $100 and carried it to the car myself!  In all fairness I did buy the ingredients I need to take desserts for the banquet at the legion on Friday and for the funeral in Arden on May 3. The funeral is for the club room manager at the legion. He lasted less than a month from diagnosis to his death😪. The legion Ladies are taking 30 cakes! They are hoping to live stream the funeral at the legion cause there is no way all the people can fit into the Arden hall. Kris met me at the legion yesterday. He was in Eden for his step-aunts funeral and texted me to meet him at the legion. He stayed for over an hour😊. I bought him a beer cause the ATM ate his bank card and he had no money!  (He did get his card back). Tomorrow Wenona is coming for lunch. I will have enough food that I can have the left overs for my supper.  She has asked me to give her a reference for a job she applied for. They asked her for a reference from a volunteer position and we were on the museum board together. They emailed me a form but gave me the option to phone them. The form seemed designed for an employment reference since it asked whether I was her supervisor and her duties etc. I will phone them on Monday. And my new glasses are in!  I will pick them up on Monday too (Ka-Ching!). Chloe got new glasses, Sandi is getting a pair in a couple of weeks and Kris is going next month. And I am bemoaning the cost of one pair!!  Kris is also coming down on May 4th to help me out for a couple of days. He is in charging of asking me “ Why are you keeping that?”  Slowly I will downsize. I’d rather get it done now instead of in a hurry when I move. So now I am settling down with my book. Love you♥️♥️♥️
