Status Report

It must be Friday as the laundry is getting done.  Time for a status report, but I'll have to check my schedule to remember what I did.  Do your lives sound like that?

The first part of the week the whole city was waiting for snow to fall.  It finally started --hard and fast and wind powered--Wednesday afternoon--while I was in Lorette for the first time in three weeks.  Within about 45 minutes I started to get concerned and headed home.  The main difficulty was with snow blowing across the highway at a right angle constantly while driving from Lorette to Deacon's Corner.  Once I got on #1 and I was driving pretty well straight west, and had a tail wind.  The snow fell heavily until just before bed time.  We went to bed with drifts across our driveway.

David had a morning dentist appt, and we planned to try to get out giving ourselves lots of extra time, but--David was up at 3:30 and the driveway had been shoveled.  We did leave early, and driving across the city was exhausting, but we made it almost an hour before our appt.  David went in and I headed for the closest Starbucks.  By the time I got back, the work was finished and he was receiving his final instructions.  And it wasn't even our original appt time yet.

Now we have two days with nothing scheduled, except laundry.  Sunday we have an event for Jeremy and Denise. Instead of a social there will be a game-playing afternoon with all of the usual fund raising activities one would normally see at a social but without the liquor.  We're hoping that David will be feeling well enough afterward to go out for supper.

That's our week.  I'm hoping for some studio time but right now the kitchen looks as though the dish cupboard exploded, and I can hear the washing machine going into its final cycle. Best move my butt.

Stay safe ladies. That snow hides street curbs and ice.  Ask me how I know.
