Family updates

 Hello folks,

Nice to read about the Social for Jeremy and Denise. Thanks for the update Pati. I can just imagine the noise level you mentioned. Perhaps a good time to "turn off the hearing aids" πŸ˜‰And i was trying to picture the location of the venue so will have to take out my trusty old map of Winnipeg again. That's OK as I do like to look at it from time to time to refresh my recollection of things. When i read the Winnipeg Free Press I am often tempted to look at the map as so many mentioned events/locations are familiar still but also very vague. Plus, the expansion of Wpg and streets and bypasses etc over the years is huge. Well, what do I expect after having left the great place over 50 years ago haha πŸ˜’

The snow came again and then went again all in a days time. I laughed that the snow plough went down the street early Monday morning after it snowed all night - grinding and clunking on the cement trying to clean off a powdering of snow and by afternoon it was sunny and totally clear sailing on the roads again. If only the temps would increase now and then I think we will be ok with the greenhouses. Both are heated and both have seedlings planted. Some of the tomatoes are already about 6 to 8 inches high. One of the brick gardens along the side of the house collapsed the other day with bricks falling off almost on mass onto the sidewalk. This will have to be fixed once it gets nicer out and thawed totally. In meantime I have placed a tarp over it to preserve what is left and hopefully prevent too much of the soil to spill.

While watching what I could of the Brier Curling on the computer, I managed to complete the top of the hexi table topper that I have been working on for years. All hand sewed. Now to think about the back and border. Maybe another few years on that ... πŸ€”

Yes, my sentiments totally ....be safe. Thinking of you both XX
