To give away... lots of snow 😒

 Good Sunday afternoon,

Today was spent for the most part shoveling outside. It has not stopped snowing since last evening. Tons of white stuff....many feet high and mounds of it and then ploughs and more mounds, and then more ploughing and then more mounds. All the time blowing and whipping around and causing white outs on occasion.  One would almost think that winter has arrived. What a pain when I thought, come February,  that we might.....just might..... get away with a sprinkling of snow with melting and above zero temps and grass showing all around this year. Jokes on us 😉

I must say again how nice it was to be part of our three way "Sisters" conversation yesterday ....on the spur of the moment so to speak. We are McGraths and wise and creative, so it will all come together nicely soon. I must remember to always keep my hair combed though and a smile on my face...hate to be caught on video otherwise.

I made the most delightful soup today with leftover from the fridge and added spatzle noodles and made cheese tea biscuits. It was so enjoyable after coming in from outside and shoveling. Right now i wait until a reasonable hour to go to bed and to read so in meantime, i sit here with you both, drink in hand and watching the clock. I must take Bailey out about 5 pm to keep a schedule of approximately 6 hours between his outings. Yes, that means I am also up and out around 11 pm to midnight every night. A routine I keep for the ongoing good health of my dear dog.

Funny as i wrote that my radio with a CD playing started to play the song  Always - a coincidence for sure. Love XX

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

  We both made it through the day without faltering, very much looking forward to a good nap once things were over.  But then were so high couldn't sleep.  Both Loren and Amber were there to help us, with Amber stopping at Tim's for breakfast on her way.   I was up and immediately dressed at 7:00 (Omg!  It even hurts to be able to say that)  Then off in the car to set up 5 signs.  Of course, each stop one has to find a place to park, get out of the car, place the sign, and reverse the process.  That finished, I parked in the mall across the way, pulled my walker out of the car, and trudged off home.  I was so glad to have the walker during the day, mainly because the float was hidden in the small zipper compartment in the walker and I sat on it most of the day.  We moved the patio table and umbrella to the front yard.  Amber and I spent most of the day there, while Loren and Dave spent their time in the garage, until later in t...

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

OMG! It's been almost a week since I posted!

  The priority over the weekend was concern about David's driver's license.  He got the letter on Friday telling him that his license was being revoked, and he was to surrender the actual license by today at the latest.  The letter also included some good information on options including a special assessment process called "DriveABLE.  David had to wait until yesterday to call them, but wasn't able to get an appointment for the re-assessment until May 3rd.  So, while we were out yesterday, he went in and "did the deed".  Sort of a sad time around here, but at least there is hope. This all meant a quiet week end, spent mainly at home, but this also meant a bit more studio time than usual.  A significant number of the pieces for the new EPP piece have been cut and put in Zip-loc bags for future basting and sewing together.  This will be my work for the group in Lorette for the foreseeable future.  Today was also the day for my monthly Zoom meet...
