Voting part 2

 I voted early, and Jim voted at the hospital today. They set up in the TV room and expected patients to come to them. (We were led to believe they would be going room to room). After much difficulty we got Jim there and he was their first customer. After him, they said there was a woman who couldn’t get out of bed, so they decided they would figure out how to visit individual patients. (Poor planning!).  Last night (through my negligence) Lucky ate 3 chocolate cookies and one chocolate chip muffin (including paper wrapper). I was watching him and googling all day. He is fine, but I was scared for a while!  Jim has convinced me to stop at the legion every day. I guess when I told him Lucky was answering me when I talked, he got worried😜. I must admit seeing other people is helping me deal with life. Today I wiped out in the driveway. We have had Nostic near our garden (it is a slimy, jellylike scum). It appears we have it in our driveway. I slid on the slime and went down. Slime on my pants, my jacket and my hands. Lucky stood there and watched!  You’d think a loving dog would have come and helped me up, but nooo.  I had to slither over to a dry spot to be able to get my feet under me (glad no one was watching). And then the dog expected me to continue on our walk (which I did☹️). Nothing but a wounded pride on my part😊. I cleaned my bathtub this morning. Not as clean as I may have wanted in the past, but very proud of myself😊. Today the bathtub, tomorrow the stars!  ♥️♥️♥️

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

  We both made it through the day without faltering, very much looking forward to a good nap once things were over.  But then were so high couldn't sleep.  Both Loren and Amber were there to help us, with Amber stopping at Tim's for breakfast on her way.   I was up and immediately dressed at 7:00 (Omg!  It even hurts to be able to say that)  Then off in the car to set up 5 signs.  Of course, each stop one has to find a place to park, get out of the car, place the sign, and reverse the process.  That finished, I parked in the mall across the way, pulled my walker out of the car, and trudged off home.  I was so glad to have the walker during the day, mainly because the float was hidden in the small zipper compartment in the walker and I sat on it most of the day.  We moved the patio table and umbrella to the front yard.  Amber and I spent most of the day there, while Loren and Dave spent their time in the garage, until later in t...

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

Yes. It is Sunday again

  Time keeps passing. Faster and faster every day. We had freezing rain last night and this morning but it seems to have stopped for now, but that damp chill goes right through me!  Lucky and Ally are both sleeping so is almost like having time to myself. I did walk Lucky this morning but we stayed off the road. We went around the trail cause it wasn’t icy. Less dangerous for both of us. I snuggled down this weekend but I will have to venture out tomorrow.  Hopefully the roads will be clear. They don’t look bad right now so it is promising. I get my flu shot on Wednesday and Ally has a vet appointment on Friday. And I’m going to call for a lawyer appointment tomorrow.  Chloe is going to have her “old people” birthday party on the 18th. Kik and I will go together. And I told Kik I would go to Winnipeg with her on the 14th. I hate the time change.
