I'm with you both
It came to bare this morning when I made a dish of Cream of Wheat for my breakfast. This is a favourite Winter breakfast cereal for me. Does that mean I am transitioning to Fall/Winter?
Then we went to the South River park to walk the dogs along the Lake. It is actually a river that opens up to a larger area so I call it a Lake. The water was as calm and clear as a mirror and the landscape across was adorned with the most gorgeous display of reds and oranges and yellows and was reflected into the water like a mirror image. Just gorgeous. Another reminder of Fall, is it not?
Today I had made arrangements to meet a friend at the Arena to walk with my two dogs around the grounds. This was to join her to walk with her new walking sticks as she does not want to walk and I thought i might encourage her to get ot. Ten minutes before I was to leave to drive to the Arena, she called to say she had been offered a chance to go out onto the Lake here in Sundridge to fish, and would call me on Monday. That was it! So I took my Bailey for a walk up the street and into the Cemetery for a walk, and then back home. By then Harry had decided he wanted Caramel Corn and he had popped the bag of popcorn and so I was left with pulling out the ingredients and making the batch of caramel corn. It is in the oven as I write and after an hour I take it out and let it cool. I do NOT eat popcorn so it will all be his own haha! By the way, when I returned home following my delightful walk with Bailey, I poured myself a goblet of wine. And the I just poured myself another. Life is grand😏!
I just finished a book by Kelly Armstrong and returned it today to the Library. I was called Hemlock Island. It is not of her usual genre. In her Acknowledgments she wrote that she had always wanted to write a Horror Novel so her publisher said to go ahead. This was the result. I forced myself through it. I do not recommend it unless you are into the occult and horror and black magic and spirits that mutilate and kill. Or should I say create Zombies instead, that go ahead and kill. Just saying haha !
Take care both of you... Monday we are apparently going up to the Cranberry Marsh to pick cranberries. Life is never dull. 😟Love XX
