A post about nothing in particular

 Wishing to keep posting from my end so we remain in touch but honestly not much to post. I struggle with computer issues still and basically getting through the day. Thank goodness I have this laptop to use as the new desktop is challenging me. Today I go to Physio and hope that will be my last visit and hope he finds my progress to still be ongoing rather than find that I have regressed. I can always make future appts if I want so I am not closing the door per say.

So much to do outside that I just shake my head and make a cup of tea instead haha! But as an excuse for not going out to work, it has been raining last two days. 

Harry wanted some fresh bread baked so I pulled out the machine and made a recipe...but it did not rise as it should have. I fear the yeast was not the freshest. It did rise a bit and I can make some toast with it this morning for breakfast but it really is not too good at all. I went through the yeast I had on hand and threw most of it away. I should buy some new today when I go out for the Physio appt. 

So hoping you two are making it through the days just like me, and thinking of you both. Take care. Apparently there is a new vaccine ready for the recent Covid variant, so I must enquire about Clinics in our area.  XX👪

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

  We both made it through the day without faltering, very much looking forward to a good nap once things were over.  But then were so high couldn't sleep.  Both Loren and Amber were there to help us, with Amber stopping at Tim's for breakfast on her way.   I was up and immediately dressed at 7:00 (Omg!  It even hurts to be able to say that)  Then off in the car to set up 5 signs.  Of course, each stop one has to find a place to park, get out of the car, place the sign, and reverse the process.  That finished, I parked in the mall across the way, pulled my walker out of the car, and trudged off home.  I was so glad to have the walker during the day, mainly because the float was hidden in the small zipper compartment in the walker and I sat on it most of the day.  We moved the patio table and umbrella to the front yard.  Amber and I spent most of the day there, while Loren and Dave spent their time in the garage, until later in t...

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

Yes. It is Sunday again

  Time keeps passing. Faster and faster every day. We had freezing rain last night and this morning but it seems to have stopped for now, but that damp chill goes right through me!  Lucky and Ally are both sleeping so is almost like having time to myself. I did walk Lucky this morning but we stayed off the road. We went around the trail cause it wasn’t icy. Less dangerous for both of us. I snuggled down this weekend but I will have to venture out tomorrow.  Hopefully the roads will be clear. They don’t look bad right now so it is promising. I get my flu shot on Wednesday and Ally has a vet appointment on Friday. And I’m going to call for a lawyer appointment tomorrow.  Chloe is going to have her “old people” birthday party on the 18th. Kik and I will go together. And I told Kik I would go to Winnipeg with her on the 14th. I hate the time change.
