Where does the time go....

Pati, you are right in telling us about  the days having a habit of going by quickly as I, too, think I have lots of time and after puttering doing this and that all morning , realize that it is already mid afternoon...so might as well sit out back under the umbrella and enjoy a little drink. We take the dogs out to sit with us as they love that. They each have a blanket and are tied with their harnesses so they will not suddenly run (which may happen if they see or hear a dog going by on the street)  But yesterday was different as I sat twiddling my thumbs in idle frustration. Light bulb moment! I went in and came back out with my sewing box and hexi quilt that is in progress. Why had I not thought of this before?? I sat happy as could be sewing more hexis onto the almost finished border and sipping from my wine goblet and generally enjoying the rest of the afternoon.

The tomatoes need some attention right now as they all need to be tied up - growing too much. Maybe we should do a little less sitting and a little more working than we do now haha! We have been eating lots of little red tomatoes as this year we planted a few new kinds that sounded nice such as Red Robins and Sweeties that are both small and grow in clumps like grapes. And they truly are delicious just off the vine. I pick Kale every day and not just for the rabbit which I give him every morning as a treat. I like the Kale for salads ot sandwiches, and as I have mentioned before, Harry likes it air dried in our new machine and eats them as seasoned "chips".

Tomorrow is my annual Hearing Assessment in Huntsville. I often wonder if the hearing aids are helping to keep my hearing from deteriorating too quickly. The last time they adjusted them a bit but only because they had gone back to the factory for a check before the three year warranty expired. Time will tell. And I must make a dentist appt soon as I have been neglecting that in the last while. And you speak of your hair needing a cut...me too! But as I look at it in the mirror ( in great horror) I wonder what it would look like growing longer again. I know I always cave in after it falls all over my face, but in a way I  would like to try it again. My hesitation is in that I do not have a regular dependable hairdresser in town anymore and would have to try out one the others around. Oh well...

And I offer my wishes for you both to stay safe as well. Take care and be good. ❤
