Start of another week....
Good Monday morning to you both,
And yet no rain is visible. I shall really have to get the hose out and water even though a thunderstorm is forecast - no guarantees anymore.
Not that I am idle and looking for things to do but.....yesterday I took all our store bought grocery bags outside and cleaned them all with hot soapy water and some lysol. They get a bit grungy through time and you just feel better to know they are clean. I hung them on a portable rack and that is where they are this morning just waiting for me to fold them again for our next trip shopping. The cloth ones were put into the washing machine and are already folded and ready.
Kitchen time has been busy with doing more air frying of the kale, and parsley and broccoli leaves. Dipped into a mixture of olive oil, and spices, and then dried only for 6 minutes they come out crispy "chips'. Harry loves them but I do not eat them. We pulled all the broccoli we planted and I have a little bag of it to cook up. They were just not growing well and thought we could get our moneys worth with what was there and move on. So now there are hot peppers planted in that space. Again I do not eat them either. What I do eat though are the tomatoes that are ripening so as I walk around puttering with this and that, my mouth gets full of the little things and they are so juicy and delicious right off the plant and into the mouth.
Lately I have been watching some of the "live" shows on The Quilt Show and especially interested in the latest one of making Box Bags using old linens. I have so many old linens and laces etc in boxes and bags and have always wanted to do something with them. This idea I watched is nice but not really what I think I would do. Cindy Neadham's name came up again during the show so I think i will (if i find time) go back to see some of her shows. Pati do you recall one that was especially interesting or perhaps another reference that would be applicable for me to watch along this theme of old laces and linens? In reality though I mostly just watch the shows and dream, as i know I will never really get to do much real work...but the time of watching is worth it sometimes haha
So have another good week folks, and take care of yourselves best you can. Thinking of you always.. 😚❤
