Sometimes....

 ..... some days one experiences the rare and strange sense of satisfaction or sense of contentment. Today was one of those days for me. I just took the dogs for their night walk to the park around the corner and as I walked I felt a real sense of peace and realized it was satisfying and that I was content. I worked very hard today in the garden planting and cleaning and fussing about and making some real progress. I was pleased with my work and could see the end to the planting process very soon. I think Harry said he counted over 500 tomatoes already planted in the garden or in pots all around the yard.

So I share this with you both, hoping that you, also, can feel the same feeling...that "all is well"..... 😂❤❤.

So before the day ends join me in a song that you both know:

          Day is done, gone the sun,

          Come the moon and the stars in the sky,

          All is well, safely rest,

          God is nigh.

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

Yes. It is Sunday again

  Time keeps passing. Faster and faster every day. We had freezing rain last night and this morning but it seems to have stopped for now, but that damp chill goes right through me!  Lucky and Ally are both sleeping so is almost like having time to myself. I did walk Lucky this morning but we stayed off the road. We went around the trail cause it wasn’t icy. Less dangerous for both of us. I snuggled down this weekend but I will have to venture out tomorrow.  Hopefully the roads will be clear. They don’t look bad right now so it is promising. I get my flu shot on Wednesday and Ally has a vet appointment on Friday. And I’m going to call for a lawyer appointment tomorrow.  Chloe is going to have her “old people” birthday party on the 18th. Kik and I will go together. And I told Kik I would go to Winnipeg with her on the 14th. I hate the time change.
