I have a problem

 I can't quite remember how to make hamburger hash.  My freezer is getting bare and I have a fair bit of regular hamburger that needs using.  I thought what better to make on a Saturday night than hash.  Unfortunately I haven't made it in over 20 years-since the kids left home and we moved here.  Add the complication of David not wanting any mushrooms, and those were the only thing I  did remember using.

Help, Please!
