The week goes by

 I had the MRI last Thursday and this Thursday I see the doctor. Hopefully he will have some news for me. Meanwhile today Jim gets to drink laxative (oh boy!) and gets the colonoscopy tomorrow. Then maybe we can settle down again. I try to do something everyday. I have also figured out that if I walk Lucky first thing in the morning (before I get too sore) he gets a decent walk. Not the two miles we used to go through the bush, but still a longer walk than he has been getting. It is super windy again today and the wind is supposed to continue for the rest of the week☹️.  I plan on getting my garden planted by next weekend. It will be much smaller than in the past, but I will still have something. I fully expect that once I have it in I will think of something else I want to plant😜. This weekend is the Neepawa Fair. We usually go and walk around the midway and visit the petting zoo. And depending on what food trucks are there we might grab something.  In the last few days the weather forecast for the weekend has gone from warm and sunny, to up 15mm of rain each day and now it is hot and sunny two days and warm and sunny on Saturday with wind on only Friday. Is it possible that we are going to have and good May Long weekend and a good Fair weekend. A miracle!  I will let you know how all our tests turn out. Love you♥️

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

  We both made it through the day without faltering, very much looking forward to a good nap once things were over.  But then were so high couldn't sleep.  Both Loren and Amber were there to help us, with Amber stopping at Tim's for breakfast on her way.   I was up and immediately dressed at 7:00 (Omg!  It even hurts to be able to say that)  Then off in the car to set up 5 signs.  Of course, each stop one has to find a place to park, get out of the car, place the sign, and reverse the process.  That finished, I parked in the mall across the way, pulled my walker out of the car, and trudged off home.  I was so glad to have the walker during the day, mainly because the float was hidden in the small zipper compartment in the walker and I sat on it most of the day.  We moved the patio table and umbrella to the front yard.  Amber and I spent most of the day there, while Loren and Dave spent their time in the garage, until later in t...

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

Yes. It is Sunday again

  Time keeps passing. Faster and faster every day. We had freezing rain last night and this morning but it seems to have stopped for now, but that damp chill goes right through me!  Lucky and Ally are both sleeping so is almost like having time to myself. I did walk Lucky this morning but we stayed off the road. We went around the trail cause it wasn’t icy. Less dangerous for both of us. I snuggled down this weekend but I will have to venture out tomorrow.  Hopefully the roads will be clear. They don’t look bad right now so it is promising. I get my flu shot on Wednesday and Ally has a vet appointment on Friday. And I’m going to call for a lawyer appointment tomorrow.  Chloe is going to have her “old people” birthday party on the 18th. Kik and I will go together. And I told Kik I would go to Winnipeg with her on the 14th. I hate the time change.
