Lots of chatter...wonderful

 Great to log on and read all the chatter and get a few laughs as well. Really......"bum walking" you say? When I was at my worst, I struggled to even get up after many a fall but never thought of bum walking as an alternative... thanks.

I have not seen the sun for awhile..is it still there? I read your weather forecasts and see that you both have monopolized it. There is so much rain and the ground seems to be swallowing it up which is good I guess. In the meantime we struggle to keep the plants healthy and make space for them to grow as many are now too big for the greenhouses. I opened up the white shed and put tables in and Harry has moved many there - it cannot be heated and so hope colder night temps will not develop anytime soon.  Some of the outside planters have already been planted with kale and garlic which can take some cold. There are already tomatoes growing on some of the plants and little flower buds on others - too early but there you are.

Pati so happy you found your camera. To lose something of importance is a sad thing. The other day I realized that i had somehow broken the chain on my necklace that holds my gold/diamond crucifix that i wear every day. And it was gone. First panic, and then remorse. No way could I search outside where we had been working - it would have been hidden in all the ground cover of leaves etc. A full house search produced no results. I had to accept defeat. Two days later as i moved some things in my room, beyond belief, there lay the cross. One can only imagine my relief at seeing it there. Now though, I must find myself a solid chain to put it on...I do not have one handy but will search my jewelry boxes, or maybe have to buy one.

Well, the first of May is here. And I always like May. It brings a sense of joy and renewal for some reason. Hope you two feel the same.  Take care and both of you be kind to yourself - get better from what ails you. I shall  try to do the same. I  have been negligent in my daily exercises so will endeavour to keep at it. XX😂

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

Yes. It is Sunday again

  Time keeps passing. Faster and faster every day. We had freezing rain last night and this morning but it seems to have stopped for now, but that damp chill goes right through me!  Lucky and Ally are both sleeping so is almost like having time to myself. I did walk Lucky this morning but we stayed off the road. We went around the trail cause it wasn’t icy. Less dangerous for both of us. I snuggled down this weekend but I will have to venture out tomorrow.  Hopefully the roads will be clear. They don’t look bad right now so it is promising. I get my flu shot on Wednesday and Ally has a vet appointment on Friday. And I’m going to call for a lawyer appointment tomorrow.  Chloe is going to have her “old people” birthday party on the 18th. Kik and I will go together. And I told Kik I would go to Winnipeg with her on the 14th. I hate the time change.
