Busy day

We got up early because Kellie had to be back at her place before 8am for the furnace installation. Then a little after 9am we loaded the compressor into the car and headed to Jean’s to blow up the flat tire on the car. We left the compressor there just in case she needed it again. While we were there Jim got a call that the tiller was fixed and ready for pick-up so we headed right to town and loaded it into the car. Good thing I still had some of the money I collected for the meat we ordered in my wallet so I had the cash to pay for it. We realized we were low on gas so we filled up before heading home. We unloaded the tiller, but I decided I really had to do up the minutes from the museum meeting. (Not that I felt like tilling by then) I knew I should have done the minutes right after the meeting cause I don’t remember half the items I’d written down. (And deciphering my own notes!!). Two hours later I sent them off. If they are wrong no one will remember what happened anyway😜. I took Lucky for a long walk and by the time I got home I was done. I didn’t even consider Meat Draw. Which wouldn’t have mattered since Jim came home empty handed again. So now I sit and add items to my Saturday shopping list. Hair cut tomorrow!!😊. Love you guys♥️♥️

The energy-sucking garage sale panic is over.

  We both made it through the day without faltering, very much looking forward to a good nap once things were over.  But then were so high couldn't sleep.  Both Loren and Amber were there to help us, with Amber stopping at Tim's for breakfast on her way.   I was up and immediately dressed at 7:00 (Omg!  It even hurts to be able to say that)  Then off in the car to set up 5 signs.  Of course, each stop one has to find a place to park, get out of the car, place the sign, and reverse the process.  That finished, I parked in the mall across the way, pulled my walker out of the car, and trudged off home.  I was so glad to have the walker during the day, mainly because the float was hidden in the small zipper compartment in the walker and I sat on it most of the day.  We moved the patio table and umbrella to the front yard.  Amber and I spent most of the day there, while Loren and Dave spent their time in the garage, until later in t...

Baking

  Yesterday I forgot to mention that I've become concerned about how much money we've been spending on muffins.  So I decided to try baking them on my own.  We got rid of all my baking pans at the garage sale so had to make a trip to Dollarama for a new one.  It's silicone and soft and wiggly, but also dishwasher safe.  I've made some Blueberry muffins that didn't rise very well.  Turned out the baking powder was over a year past it's "best before" date.  Went out and bought more. I've found recipes on-line for Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, and another Blueberry that uses frozen berries rather than thawed--great--as all of mine are Frozen.  I'm also going to look for a recipe for Bran, but not today.

Yes. It is Sunday again

  Time keeps passing. Faster and faster every day. We had freezing rain last night and this morning but it seems to have stopped for now, but that damp chill goes right through me!  Lucky and Ally are both sleeping so is almost like having time to myself. I did walk Lucky this morning but we stayed off the road. We went around the trail cause it wasn’t icy. Less dangerous for both of us. I snuggled down this weekend but I will have to venture out tomorrow.  Hopefully the roads will be clear. They don’t look bad right now so it is promising. I get my flu shot on Wednesday and Ally has a vet appointment on Friday. And I’m going to call for a lawyer appointment tomorrow.  Chloe is going to have her “old people” birthday party on the 18th. Kik and I will go together. And I told Kik I would go to Winnipeg with her on the 14th. I hate the time change.
